Shown is a 6 mm faceted lavender quartz with a 4 mm blue sapphire orbiting it. The two are separated, yet joined by a band of sterling silver. 

Io is the third largest of Jupiter's moons, and similar in size to our moon. Io is named from Greek mythology after the priestess of Hera who became a lover of Zeus.
